In you love hamburgers then you probably have either tried or at least heard of a wagyu burger. If you have not, maybe you have heard it called a different name, perhaps a Kobe burger? Kobe burgers are wagyu burgers with Kobe being the name of the region the cattle were raised.
Anyway, what makes a wagyuburger so tasty? The fat. Wagyucattle are known for having a very high percentage of intramuscular fat content. Originally, this high muscle fat made wagyucattle excellent work cattle, especially in the higher elevations of Japan. Then one day, someone obviously very smart determined that they should be raised for food and not just as work animals.
So began the tradition of intensive feeding, pampered care and good gene seleection that has led to todays wagyu cattle. The beef from wagyu cattle literally melts in your mouth and tastes very rich all due to the high fat content of the meat.
This fat content makes a wagyu burger the best burger in the world. If you have the opportunity to enjoy one by all means do not pass it up.
